This board shall consist of three (3) members whose term of office shall be three (3.) years with one member being elected each year. The Superintendent of the Sunday School shall be an advisory member of this board.
1. The Board of Christian Education shall organize annually by January 1 for the purpose of electing a chairperson and a secretary. The chairperson shall represent the board on the Church Council and report for them to the Voters’ Assembly as well as direct and coordinate their activities throughout the year.
2. The Board of Christian Education shall concern themselves with the strengthening of the Christian home and with equipping parents, children, and young people for Christian family living.
3. The Board of Christian Education shall provide learning opportunities and agencies for all age levels.
4. The Board of Christian Education shall approve the curriculum and the textbook in use by the educational agencies and make every effort to maintain the highest standards in the field of Christian training.
5. The Board of Christian Education shall thoroughly understand the programs and goals of all educational agencies. This will require periodic visits to Sunday School classes, etc.
6. The Board of Christian Education shall encourage the Congregation to attend any of the educational agencies.
7. The Board of Christian Education shall set a good example by their own and their families’ participation in these agencies to the extent that this is possible.
8. The Board of Christian Education shall hold regular meetings as often as advisable.
9. The Board of Christian Education shall assist the Sunday School Superintendent and pastor to assure that a staff of capable teachers is available.
10. The Board of Christian Education shall see that all agencies of Christian Education are receiving proper and adequate financial support.
